Aaron leads on export control and sanctions compliance for DHL Group. He was previously Global Head of Export Controls, DHL Express, and has a long and varied career in trade compliance and facilitation including as Head of Counter-Proliferation, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), and Senior Researcher, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). Prior to joining HMRC, Aaron was lead analyst on Iranian political-military affairs for the Defence Intelligence Staff, Ministry of Defence. He has studied at Tehran University; undertaken post-graduate research at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS); and published on trade controls in the logistics sector, export controls in the United Arab Emirates, the Proliferation Security Initiative, and Iranian politics and art.
