Claire Rivington-Kuhns serves as Regional Export Legal Counsel for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Google. With over a decade of experience, Claire provides strategic counsel on complex export control and sanctions matters across the EMEA region. Her expertise encompasses navigating sanctions risk—recently with a particular focus on Russia and Belarus—as well as overseeing comprehensive export and sanctions compliance programs for Google’s EMEA exports. In addition to advising cross-functional product teams, Claire leads internal training initiatives on export and sanctions compliance. Prior to joining Google, Claire was an associate in the EU, Competition and Trade practice at Baker McKenzie in London, where she advised on competition, trade, and anti-bribery compliance. Claire is fluent in German.
