Gagik Sargsyan is the Founder and CEO of Polixis, the trusted data foundation underpinning AI-driven compliance and risk decisions at some of the world's largest financial institutions. His core conviction is simple: AI in finance is only as trustworthy as the data it is trained on. Polixis exists to solve that problem.

Over two decades, Gagik has built Polixis into a global leader in structured, expert-curated compliance data - covering AML, sanctions, KYC, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) across more than 200 jurisdictions, with unrivalled depth in emerging markets. The company's proprietary 'human-in-the-loop' model embeds specialist researchers alongside machine learning pipelines, producing data sets that are accurate, explainable, and audit-ready: the prerequisites for responsible AI deployment in regulated industries.

Before founding Polixis, Gagik held senior risk analysis roles at HSBC Group Private Banking and BNP Paribas (Switzerland). He has also advised United Nations bodies in Geneva. A graduate of the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID) and Panthéon-Sorbonne University, he brings an international affairs perspective to what is, at its core, a data governance challenge.
