Leon Sosnowski is Head of Capital Markets & Litigation at the legal department of sovereign fund manager Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), where he has worked for over a decade. Leon oversees a global team of lawyers based in London, Oslo, and New York, advising on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters including sanctions and compliance.

Leon is an experienced international lawyer, having previously practised at Herbert Smith Freehills and Hogan Lovells. Prior to entering the legal profession, he worked in Deloitte’s Forensic Services practice leading international investigations. He also brings an academic dimension as a geopolitical expert to his work, having taught international relations and international law at King’s College London’s War Studies Department, where he completed a PhD.
