Mark McDonald

Partner at Pollen Street Capital

Mark is a partner of Pollen Street and leads the GP-led secondaries and structured capital solutions business. He has over 20 years of experience across direct PE investing, secondaries and complex GP-led and structured transactions.

He was formerly co-head of the Sponsor Solutions business within Brookfield’s global private equity group, Managing Partner of DWS’s global private equity business and a board member of DWS Alternatives Global Ltd. Prior to this, he held a number of senior roles in private equity with firms including 3i, Pomona Capital, Keyhaven Capital Partners and Credit Suisse, where he was global head of secondaries advisory.

Mark holds and MBA from SDA Bocconi, Milan and an honours degree in Economics & Politics from the University of Leeds. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Royal Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House. Mark also chairs the Board of Trustees for a London-based children’s charity.
