Alexander started his career with BRS as a trainee on the spot tanker desk in conjunction with his studies at the University of Geneva. After completing his Masters in Commodity Trading and Shipping he then became a junior broker on the Suezmax desk, from which he then moved on to successfully co-head the DPP desk. In 2018, Alexander started to move BRS into the sustainability world by starting BRS Recycling Services. This department works in partnership with Origin International to offer shipowners and charterers global waste oil solutions by providing correct disposal and traceability on slops, sludge and off-spec bunkers. Since last year Alexander has worked on launching BRS’ Green Desk to offer carbon credit solutions both within the regulatory and voluntary markets.
