Dr. Claudia Dreszer is the Chief Scientific Officer at Ankron Water Services and holds a PhD in natural science. She is responsible for testing water treatment systems and advanced analytics at Ankron and is in charge of testing on board vessels, which includes sampling, analysis of water samples, and reporting. She became an expert for ballast water, established a shipboard testing routine and completed many test cycles on-board container vessels, naval vessels, and superyachts. She also performed fundamental ballast water studies including surveys on neutral red, MPN, FDA/CMFDA and indicative tools for ballast water analysis. Before starting her career in the maritime industry, Claudia worked as PhD student at Wetsus Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology with biofouling and tests of water treatment systems. During her Water Science study program, she worked as a scientific staff member at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, as well as the Marine Laboratory of the University Guam where she worked with marine bacteria and sponges. Claudia has extensive knowledge in water treatment, instrumental analytics, microbiology, and water sampling.
