Founder and Chief Executive Officer William Ashmore has over 40 years of executive-level leadership in the mortgage industry. In 1995, Mr. Ashmore co-founded Impac Mortgage Holdings, Inc. (IMH). This leading non-bank originator innovated in alternative documentation residential mortgage products and originated over $130 billion in loans under his leadership. IMH was among the first to create and securitize alternative documentation for residential mortgage products. IMH launched the first large-scale dedicated non-QM origination platform in 2014, developing guidelines, enhancing loan origination systems, and establishing vital investor relationships. The company also assisted rating agencies in refining criteria and created an industry-standard non-QM bulk sale due diligence process, which is now widely adopted.

Familiar with innovating and forging new paths, Bill Ashmore established Vista Point Mortgage in 2019. As the leader in non-QM Closed-End Second Mortgages (CES) and a driving force in non-QM 1st liens, the company has surpassed $11 billion in non-Agency lifetime volume since its founding. Vista Point pioneered the non-QM CES asset class in 2022 and has completed over $2 billion in non-QM CES securitizations that included its innovative DSCR CES product.
