Bruce has 28 years of biopharma experience in a variety of commercial roles, with 15 years in Market Access, including 9 years in Trade & Distribution. He expertise is in market access and developing integrated channel strategies in support of delivering comprehensive patient access solutions for specialty products. Bruce has experience in both large and pre-commercial biotech companies, and has launched over 18 rare and specialty products in a variety of therapeutic areas and settings. Currently, he is in his 3rd year serving as the Senior Director of Trade & Distribution at Cytokinetics, where he is responsible for leading a team in developing the channel strategy for the company’s pre-commercial rare cardiovascular specialty products. Before joining Cytokinetics, he was the Director of Trade & Distribution at Ascendis Pharma, where he developed and implemented the distribution channel for a specialty endocrine product that launched in 2021. Prior to Ascendis, Bruce was at Gilead for 12 years where he briefly held a position in marketing to launch a cystic fibrosis inhalation therapy, and then transitioned to Managed Markets; in that role he established and led the Market Access and Reimbursement Group for 6 years before joining the Trade & Distribution team to support the product portfolio in HIV, HCV, oncology, respiratory and cardiovascular disease. Earlier in his career he spent 8 years at Chiron Corporation, where he held roles in strategic planning, corporate strategy and development, and product marketing. Bruce has also previously held marketing leadership roles at two oncology startups, led the west coast practice at a national life sciences consulting firm, and was also a consultant at Booz-Allen & Hamilton. He earned his MBA degree at the Anderson School at UCLA, his MS degree at the University of Utah, and his BA degree at Carleton College. Bruce currently resides in Park City, Utah.
