Renee Shiota has more than 20 years in the healthcare and biotechnology industries. For more than 10 years, Renee headed Genentech’s Patient Assistance Programs, which included both the non-profit foundation, Genentech Access to Care Foundation, and corporate co-pay donations. Prior to Genentech, she served as COO at the Alameda Alliance for Health, a local health plan serving local low-income families. She has served at non-profits supporting women and children and has experience working in biotechnology research and development. She holds a BA degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and an MPH from UCLA.
