Tami Carten is Vice President, Trade and Access at Braeburn Inc., where she leads the design and optimization of the company’s limited specialty pharmacy and distribution network, patient access programs, and trade operations. She rejoined her former employer in 2023 to launch a REMS specialty injectable for treating Opioid Addiction. She oversees a high-performing team of trade and patient access professionals, driving strategies that strengthen channel performance, improve patient affordability, and ensure compliant, scalable commercialization. Currently, Tami is focusing on the use of artificial intelligence to accelerate access decision-making and address the evolving complexities of the U.S. reimbursement environment.
With more than 30 years of experience across pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, and consulting organizations, Tami is recognized for building practical solutions to complex market access challenges. Her expertise spans access strategy, payer marketing, contracting, specialty distribution, and account negotiations, with particular strength in launch planning and lifecycle optimization. She has held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, Otsuka, AbbVie, and Regeneron, and previously served as Braeburn’s Vice President of Specialty Trade and Distribution, where she established the pre-launch market access strategy, trade network, and patient support framework for her currently supported product.
Tami’s diverse background also includes enhanced experiences in biochemistry, R&D, market research and consulting – further informing her cross-functional leadership and customer-centric approach. She is committed to advancing innovative access models that expand treatment availability to patients, while delivering sustainable business performance.
