Julie L. White, MS, CHCP, FSACME is the Director of the Center for Continuing Education the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BU CCE). Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is jointly accredited with Commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
The BU team is known nationally for their SCOPE of Pain program, providing education to healthcare clinicians on safer opioid prescribing, and their work in quality improvement. The quality improvement team works closely with BU’s affiliated hospital Boston Medical Center and community health centers, contributing to practice improvements and scholarship in this arena.
Julie has been with BU CME since 1995 and has extensive experience in adult education, educational design, and program development and management. Julie won the 2019 Distinguished Career in Continuing Medical Education award from the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME) and was inducted as a Fellow by SACME in 2023.
