Bill Bymel is a veteran real estate investor and CEO of First Lien Capital, a privately owned investment platform he founded in 2021, specializing in distressed debt and mortgage workout strategies on residential and commercial real estate.

Through First Lien Resolutions, he provides Special Assets expertise to banks and funds on portfolio risk, recovery strategies, and profitable arbitrage. 

Author of Win-Win Revolution (2017), Bill pioneered collaborative approaches to loss mitigation that have helped institutions and investors navigate billions in troubled assets. His next book, The Storm: Markets Meet Mother Nature, releases April 2026.

Bill hosts a weekly podcast on real estate and debt cycles, Debt Doctor, and currently resides in Nevada with his daughter, his army vet son, and two dogs, Sandy and Honey. Bill attended NYU Film School and produced several award-winning films.
