Martin SaenzManaging Partner at New Day Asset ManagementSpeaker
Profile
Martin Saenz is the Managing Partner of Bequest Asset Management, a vertically integrated asset management platform focused on acquiring, restructuring, and optimizing distressed and value-add mortgage note assets across the United States. He leads an in-house team overseeing underwriting, asset management, legal strategy, and borrower engagement—allowing BAM to operate as a hands-on owner-operator and fiduciary steward of capital.
BAM functions as a modern, quasi-family office, balancing private capital and investor funds, with a disciplined focus on operational control, cash-flow durability, and downside protection. Under Martin’s leadership, the firm specializes in complex and non-performing assets, extracting value through data-driven execution and active portfolio management.
Martin’s background is rooted in entrepreneurship and cash-flow investing. He co-founded a federal government contracting company in 2005 that was successfully sold in 2013, while simultaneously building a long-term real estate and paper-asset portfolio. He operates under the 4C Investment Philosophy—Cashflow, Control, Community, and Comprehensible—and is currently focused on scaling BAM into a full-service, technology-enabled asset management platform for the alternative investment industry.
