Amanda Cottrell is a partner in the Business Trial Practice Group in Sheppard Mullin’s Dallas office. Amanda's practice is about one thing: protecting her clients' money and property. Amanda serves as the firm's go-to litigator in bankruptcies and distressed real estate matters. Amanda handles complex commercial disputes involving foreclosures, bankruptcy litigation, and enforcement actions across Texas state and federal courts. Her practice focuses on protecting critical infrastructure assets—including multi-family assets, data centers, telecommunications, energy storage systems, and commercial real estate—through strategic litigation when workouts fail and enforcement becomes necessary. Amanda currently serves as a Director on the Dallas Bar Association Board of Directors and has been recognized by Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and D Magazine for her litigation work.
