Profile

James helps a wide variety of clients with bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and real estate and health care workouts and enforcement issues by understanding their businesses, identifying their short-term and long-term objectives, and partnering with clients to formulate legal and business solutions to best achieve those objectives. He also minimizes risk by providing advice on non-distressed legal transactions and operational matters.

This breadth and depth of client engagement provides James with a unique insight into the business challenges and opportunities posed by bankruptcy and financial distress, and permits him to devise unique solutions that obtain favorable results for his clients.

James is co-lead of Seyfarth’s Distressed Situations team and enjoys partnering with Seyfarth's legal experts in virtually every area of law to formulate creative, practical, and pragmatic solutions to his clients' most complex legal and business challenges.
