Profile
Blair has dedicated 15 years to advancing sustainability, energy efficiency, and decarbonization strategies through various roles spanning the full real estate value chain. Over more than a decade in consulting and advisory, he supported Canada’s largest landlords and institutional real estate owners in enhancing the sustainability and emissions performance of their portfolios. He then spent several years advising North America’s leading financial institutions, logistics firms, and telecommunications organizations on internal decarbonization, renewable energy, and capital planning strategies—subsequently leading teams in executing those plans across corporately owned and operated real estate assets.
In 2024, Blair joined the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) to lead the sustainability, decarbonization, and climate risk strategy for its real estate investment portfolio. He is engaged across the full lifecycle of real estate, from development to asset management, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of economics and sustainability performance. Blair is committed to advancing decarbonization initiatives, optimizing sustainability outcomes, and managing climate risk—while delivering strong, risk-adjusted returns across a global portfolio of real estate assets
