After two decades of working as a Professional Engineer and Energy Consultant, I started Overlay Consulting (since rebranded as Touchstone IQ) to deliver energy management solutions for corporations, governments, utility companies, and building owners.

The energy landscape is changing rapidly. Shareholders and consumers are demanding more sustainable business practices, organizations are setting bold ESG targets, and governments are establishing aggressive benchmarking regulations and building performance standards (BPS). All of this drives the need for the building sector to access modern energy management, but existing tools have not kept pace with the need.

Whether our customers want to reduce their global organization’s carbon footprint, hit long-term targets, lower costs, or simply comply with local ordinances, we designed Touchstone IQ to help. We apply our unique combination of in-house expertise and proprietary software to develop custom programs and empower our customers to collect and track data, analyze insights, and implement action.

We are proud to have delivered energy management solutions for major corporations including Amazon, CBRE, RE/MAX, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Darden Restaurants, and AECOM. We also design and implement energy benchmarking and BPS programs for 20+ cities and states across the U.S., more than any other company in the space.
