Katie Hanson is Vice President of Sustainability Programs at RE Tech Advisors, a Legence Company, bringing over 15 years of experience in the sustainable built environment. She specializes in guiding stakeholders toward carbon-reduction goals through data-driven, investor-aligned strategies. Katie supports client managers in designing and executing award-winning sustainability programs and is also responsible for driving operational performance across organizations.

Her expertise spans energy efficiency, demand management, auditing, targeted outreach, and program design and implementation. She has developed auditor training curricula, led turnkey retrofit projects involving fuel switching, and managed teams conducting community-scale microgrid feasibility studies. Katie holds a Master’s in Sustainable Interior Environments from SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
