Madeline Robertson is the Director of Sustainability at Greystar, where she leads key programs and vendor partnerships that help both Greystar-owned assets and third-party clients advance their sustainability goals across a multifamily portfolio of more than 3,200 properties nationwide. Her work focuses on driving measurable impact through initiatives that support energy benchmarking compliance, Building Performance Standard (BPS) tracking, sustainability education, and enhanced data integrity.
With a strong academic foundation in sustainability from DePaul University and executive training from Harvard University, Madeline is passionate about making sustainability practical, actionable, and scalable within real estate operations. She is a firm believer that education is the cornerstone of advancing environmental performance across the built environment.
Madeline is an active contributor to the field, having presented at leading industry events such as NAREIM Sustainability Meetings, IMN ESG Conferences, and regional GRESB insight meetings. Her research on Life Cycle Assessment has also been published in The Journal of Sustainable Production and Consumption, a peer-reviewed scientific journal, reflecting her commitment to data-driven strategies and continuous learning.
