Megan Krest is the Associate Director of ESG & Sustainability at Cushman & Wakefield’s Energy & Sustainability Services team and brings over eight years of experience advising institutional investors on ESG strategy across the commercial real estate sector. In her role, she helps clients define, implement, and scale ESG initiatives at the asset, portfolio, and organizational levels—supporting health and wellness, stakeholder engagement, regulatory preparedness, and performance improvement.
Her work includes leading end-to-end ESG program development, conducting gap assessments, and overseeing sustainability and impact reporting aligned with leading frameworks such as GRESB, TCFD, and GRI, as well as green building certifications including LEED, BREEAM, and Fitwel. Megan has developed strategic roadmaps for ESG integration and reporting for diversified real estate portfolios and has guided clients through certifications that enhance building performance and occupant health.
Megan is a GRESB Accredited Professional, Fitwel Ambassador (Top Global Ambassador 2022, 2024), BREEAM USA In-Use Assessor, and RESET Air AP. She holds a B.S. in Sustainable Biomaterials with a focus on Sustainable Enterprise and a minor in Business Leadership from Virginia Tech.
