Sonny is the operations and acquisition backbone of the company. He heads and conducts every aspect and sector of operations for all the hotels since 2005 and has been closely involved with development since 2010. All major decisions are made with his input and voting rights as needed.

Sonny graduated from the Conrad Hilton School of Management at the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. His experience and expertise in

management ranges from implementation of ideas and standards, re-launching of brands, HR and supporting key personnel to creating the best and strongest operational team that any hotel owner could ask for. Babu is a leader, motivator, and mentor to every member of our Atlantic “A” Team.

Since 1998, he has led the opening / operations of numerous IHG, Marriott, and Hilton branded hotels. Opened on Valentine’s Day 2017 was a first in the USA – Marriott’s dual brand Aloft and Element hotel at Dallas Love-field Airport which led to Atlantic Hotels receiving 2018 Marriott’s Developer of the year Award. To date there are 20+ properties in the portfolio that are operating under his direction and leadership with a minor stake in most and one third stake in Atlantic Hotels Management.

Additionally, since 2010, Sonny has been an Ambassador for the North Texas Region of Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) for 8 years, served on AAHOA’s Revenue Generation Committee for three years and since 2015 he was on the Board at Texas Hotel & Lodging Association (TH&LA) until early 2025.
