As a Managing Director in the Portfolio Management group at Harrison Street Asset Management, Chris focuses exclusively on Joint Ventures and Separate Accounts. He is responsible for the overall portfolio performance of those investment vehicles and for the conformance with the established objectives and guidelines. He works in close collaboration with all internal functions, including the transactions and asset management teams, to execute the investment strategy and drive performance. He is also responsible for tracking, projecting and communicating the investment performance of each vehicle to investors and internal team members.
Prior to joining Harrison Street, he was a Vice President at Deutsche Asset Management’s real estate investment business formerly known as RREEF. During his tenure, he helped manage portfolios totaling nearly $6 billion in value, and prior to departing, was the Portfolio Manager on two separate accounts supporting the Lead Portfolio Manager. The portfolios included real estate assets across the risk spectrum in both equity and structured debt and were primarily located in the United States. Investors included institutional and retail, domestic and international and investment vehicles included open-end funds, closed-end funds, and separately managed accounts.
Chris graduated with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management, with an MBA in Finance, Management & Organizations, and Marketing. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BBA in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics and Finance, Investment, & Banking.
