Doug Faron is the Founder and Managing Partner of Westlight Capital, a privately held real estate investment and development firm focused on high-growth, supply-constrained markets across the United States. With nearly two decades of experience, Doug has led more than $10 billion in real estate investments and developments across asset classes, including residential, retail, hotel, office, and mixed-use.Prior to Westlight, Doug founded Shoreham Capital, a privately held real estate firm dedicated to the acquisition, development, ownership, and management of prime real estate properties spanning the East Coast and Sun Belt region. Under his leadership, Shoreham developed and acquired over 2,000 units across the build-to-rent and multifamily sectors, and Doug continues to manage and oversee Shoreham’s portfolio while focusing all new acquisitions through the Westlight Capital platform.Before his entrepreneurial endeavors, Doug spent a decade at CIM Group, a $35 billion real estate private equity firm, rising to Managing Director and leading the East Coast equity investment platform. Doug worked in corporate private equity at LNK Partners and began his career in investment banking within the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Deutsche Bank in New York City.Doug serves as an active member of YPO, ULI, NMHC, and ICSC, and is a longtime supporter of the Harlem Lacrosse Program in both New York City and Los Angeles.He earned a dual concentration in international relations and economics from Brown University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
