Ed is a Managing Director – Loan Originations for First Citizens Bank and has over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry; primarily on the finance side for various domestic and international financial institutions. This includes double alumni status for JP Morgan (Chase Manhattan Bank and at Bear Stearns which are both now part of JPM) as well as serving as the Western Region Manager for Eurohypo AG; (a boutique CRE lender originally owned by Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank and Dresdner Bank) and also as the Western Region Manager for Citigroup Global Market CRE Group.

Ed was credit trained at Chase Manhattan in NYC and then spent a year as an analyst for large corporate workouts/restructurings. However, the bulk of his career has been 100% dedicated to the commercial industry.

He is a tested veteran who has worn many hats throughout numerous economic cycles. This has included loan origination, loan restructuring, REO sales, loan sales, asset management, and a stint in loan/equity placement for CBRE.

Ed is well versed in nearly all capital alternatives for commercial real estate. He has also worked with a wide spectrum of investors ranging from small private entrepreneurial firms to larger investment grade, public clients. This has resulted in closing many billions of dollars in commercial real estate transactions over his career.
