James is Head of the US for MAM Real Estate. He is focused on sourcing, executing, fundraising, and managing all aspects of the MAM’s real estate investments in the Americas. He is on the board of the manufactured housing business, RHP and the diversified industrial business, Logistics Property Company. He is also on the investment committee of the US opportunistic fund, MREP 2, and on the board of the 2 seed investments into the fund including the self storage business, Summerland and in senior housing, Health Wave.

Prior to joining Macquarie, James spent 12 years at Starwood Capital Group investing and living throughout the world and successfully grew the firm’s European and Asian business while finishing leading investments in the tri state New York area.

His 19 years of experience in real estate includes acquisitions in all property sectors across the capital stack and gained significant experience in debt while starting his career at Lehman Brothers.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in history from the University of Pennsylvania, which includes a minor in urban real estate from The Wharton School.
