Zurab Moshashvili, CPA is a Partner at Anchin with more than 20 years of public, private, and multinational experience.

Zurab specializes in providing assurance and advisory services to a wide range of multi-generational families, private syndicators and equity and credit investment funds. He has served clients with varying asset classes, including office, industrial, including outdoor storage, residential, hospitality, sounds stages, equity and mortgage REITs, and private pay independent living facilities.

His expertise lies in working on valuations, revenue recognition, acquisitions/dispositions of real estate, business combinations, impairment, going concern, derivative instruments, residential agency and non-agency mortgage-backed securities and repurchase agreements.

Zurab also specializes in providing accounting and auditing services to various real estate and credit funds, where he is heavily involved in valuations, waterfalls and carried interest calculations. He assists emerging managers and established funds with structuring, compliance, reporting and other advisory services.

Zurab has served as an assistant vice president in the investments credit surveillance department of a publicly traded mortgage REIT. He began his career at a Big 4 accounting firm, where he served as an audit senior manager before coming to Anchin.

He has created training curriculums and taught courses related to real estate accounting and auditing methodologies. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).

Zurab is a regular speaker at industry conferences and was recently named as an award winner by CPA Practice Advisors 40 Under 40 in the Accounting Profession for 2023.
