Canopy Real Estate Partners acquires value add, middle market commercial real estate assets primarily in the western United States.

The Canopy principals have over 30 years of real estate investment experience dating back to the 1990s RTC era. They have founded, grown and sold two commercial real estate firms and have built multiple debt and equity platforms.

Canopy seeks to be a long-term partner to a select group of vetted local operators. Our partners are typically younger syndicators who seek to become institutional fund managers and/or expand their franchise with a partner. Canopy provides JV equity capital, facility structures and GP capital, and in some cases, growth capital to this group. Canopy also provides intellectual capital to our partners to assist them in building out their platforms, to allow them to ultimately attract institutional capital.

Canopy believes this local “boots on the ground” approach, combined with proven experience, expertise, and the principals’ long track record, provides alpha and attractive risk adjusted returns for its investors.
