Cole Goulet is the AI Systems Manager at New Day Asset Management, a vertically integrated asset management platform focused on acquiring, restructuring, and optimizing distressed and value-add mortgage note assets across the United States. He designs and builds the firm’s in-house technology, applying AI across underwriting, asset management, borrower engagement, and portfolio surveillance so a small team can operate a large book of loans with institutional discipline.

Under Cole’s direction, NDAM runs on a proprietary system of record that ingests nightly data from five loan servicers and drives the firm’s daily priorities. On top of it he has deployed AI-generated borrower and portfolio briefings with built-in data-grounding controls, agent-driven due diligence on bid tapes covering property, bankruptcy, statute-of-limitations and credit screens, AI voice agents for borrower engagement, and a daily “AI board” of role-based agents that report alongside the human team. His work centers on putting AI into production inside a regulated, borrower-facing business, with a human decision on every action and a full audit trail.

Cole has spoken on AI and distressed assets at IMN’s Bank Special Assets East forum and brings the operator’s view of AI in mortgage credit to the Mortgage AI Forum.
