Paula is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance O'icer at Better. Previously sheserved as Senior Litigation Counsel at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in theEnforcement Bureau. Prior to joining the CFPB, she was a litigation partner at MayerBrown. Paula began her career as a Motions Law Clerk to the United States Court ofAppeals for the Second Circuit. She served as an Assistant United States Attorney in theCriminal Division of the United States Attorney's O'ice for the Southern District of NewYork, where she prosecuted bank fraud, money laundering, and complex narcoticscases involving extensive grand jury investigations. Tu'in also served as Project Directorin the President's O'ice at Hunter College and worked with the College's President, theNew York City Department of Education, the Woodrow Wilson National FellowshipFoundation, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to create the Manhattan HunterScience High School. Paula currently serves as a board member of Empower the Village.She was listed to Forbes 50 over 50 2021. Paula received a B.A. from Williams Collegeand her JD from Harvard Law School.
