John is the Founder and Managing Partner of Peak 15 Capital. A Private Equity firm specializing in equity and debt across various commercial real estate classes with a keen focus on high alpha returns. Through deploying capital from in house discretionary funds Peak 15 partners with developers, sponsors and operators on a variety of asset types and geographic locations. Peak 15 also operates an advisory platform servicing commercial real estate sponsors and developers.

John was formerly a Managing Member/Partner of MACC Venture Partners, a Southeast focus owner/operator of multifamily assets who have syndicated and operated multifamily assets across the Southeast corridor.

Previously John was also a co-Founder and Managing Partner of Boston Venture Partners (BVP), a private equity investment banking firm based in Boston specializing in real estate development, and structured finance.

John has worked on a cumulative portfolio of over $2 Billion spanning across the US and abroad. His previous roles in equity, finance and banking provided an integral understanding of debt and equity markets as well as deal structure, honing his insights into the critical planning issues relevant to growing successful companies. He is an avid mentor and coach and has developed an industry leading course on multifamily acquisitions and capitalization offered under Peak 15 Capital Institute.

John is a podcaster, speaker and lecturer and he serves on the boards of several non-profit and for-profit organizations including Gaston College, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Harvard Square Economic Counsil and others. He holds a BA from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and an MBA from Boston University Questrom School of Business.
