Chris Spanos is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive with a proven track record of building, scaling, and leading successful startups and high-growth companies across multiple industries.

As CEO & Co-Founder of Pane, Chris is building the first Property Compliance-as-a-Service (PCaaS) platform, transforming fragmented municipal compliance into operational clarity for real estate owners, operators, and lenders. Pane was born out of real-world challenges at Riparian Holdings and has already proven its value at scale. Under Chris’s leadership, Pane is positioned to become the industry’s AI-first property compliance infrastructure—helping customers reduce risk, protect assets, improve efficiency, and unlock growth.

As CEO of Riparian Technologies (RipTech), Chris drove the development of advanced PropTech solutions to optimize Riparian Holdings’ portfolio and operations. His leadership supported the company’s scaling from 1,200 to 3,400 single-family rental homes. Chris now serves as Advising CxO of Riparian Holdings, guiding technology and operational strategy. This operator perspective continues to anchor Pane’s ethos of being “built by operators, for operators.”

Previously, as Co-Founder and CEO of Urgently (NASDAQ: ULY), Chris led the company from inception in 2013 to more than $180M in annual revenue by 2022. Under his leadership, Urgently transformed from a roadside assistance disruptor into the leading digitally native platform in the industry, securing investments from BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Porsche, Enterprise, Verizon, and Allianz. He built strategic partnerships with Mercedes, Uber, BMW, and Rolls-Royce, establishing Urgently as a global category leader.

Before Urgently, Chris co-founded and led SeniorChecked, a digital background screening platform for senior care acquired by N.E.W./Assurion in 2011. Earlier, he turned around AOL Local in 2007, making AOL Yellowpages the #1 local search directory, and at MCI he was a key player in launching 10-10-321, scaling it into a $1B business within six months.

Recognized as EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019, Chris remains an active advisor to startups, offering guidance to help other entrepreneurs achieve success. He is known for building high-performing teams, his foresight in identifying growth opportunities, and his commitment to innovation across every sector he touches.
