Mr. Byce is co-founder of ResiBuilt Homes, an Atlanta based homebuilder which internally develops, builds and manages single family residential communities for rent and for sale. ResiBuilt is a large-scale real estate owner/fund manager and one of the largest homebuilders in the southeast, developing and building more than 1,400 homes per year as a general contractor. ResiBuilt is active in Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa, Charlotte and Greenville. In addition to its own portfolio, ResiBuilt offers fee building services for other investors wanting to participate in the Build to Rent space, using its product and expertise to maximize rents and returns for their investments.
His previous experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Investments handling national strategic planning and execution for the start-up and growth phases of three single family REITs including Colony American Homes (NYE: SFR), American Residential Properties (NYSE: ARPI; AMH) and Altisource Solutions (NASDAQ: ASPS), which now have a combined value of over $7B in single family real estate assets across the country. In addition to aggressively growing each company, Mr. Byce pioneered some of the first institutional build-to-rent homes and successfully launched investments including a fix-and-flip housing fund, a hard money lending fund and managed over $1.5B in commercial distressed debt portfolios. Prior to joining these companies, Mr. Byce owned an Atlanta based firm specializing in the entitlement, development and construction of large residential subdivisions. He also has experience as one of Atlanta’s highest volume construction lenders focusing on A&D and residential construction loans to large and mid-sized residential builders. Mr. Byce has been an active real estate broker in Georgia since 2001 and graduated with a B.A. in International Business Finance from the University of Georgia.
