As CEO of Mark-Taylor Residential, he leads the strategic direction, business development, consulting, and operational performance of the firm’s extensive multifamily portfolio, overseeing over 35,000+ apartment units across Arizona and Nevada and managing $11 billion in real estate investments.

John’s leadership is built on trust, transparency, market expertise, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. With over two decades at Mark-Taylor, his seasoned experience spans data-driven asset management, macroeconomic strategy, and operational oversight, ensuring long-term success for residents, clients, team members, and business partners.

Since joining Mark-Taylor in 2002, John has played an integral role in the company’s growth and evolution. His deep understanding of the industry, combined with a commitment to operational excellence, led to his appointment as President in 2016 and CEO in 2025. He credits the company’s exceptional people, authentic culture, and commitment to innovation as the driving forces behind its continued success.

A recognized leader in the industry, John has served on the Arizona Multihousing Association Board since 2010, including as Chairman in 2019, and remains actively involved as Co-Chair of the AMA Developers Committee. He has also participated as a Region 7 delegate for the National Apartment Association and is a member of both the NAA and the NMHC. Licensed as a real estate broker in Arizona and Nevada, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia College.
