Reshma Block
Former CTO at Tricon
Speaker

Profile

Reshma Block is a Fractional CTO and board-level advisor who partners with institutional investors, REITs, and operators to modernize platforms, strengthen digital infrastructure, and unlock enterprise value through technology. A Pepperdine MBA and former Intel executive, she blends Silicon Valley innovation with the operational discipline of a real-estate operator—grounded in an owner-investor mindset focused on performance, returns, and long-term value creation.

Over her 30-year career, Reshma has driven $24 billion + in M&A and strategic transactions across real estate, private equity, and technology. As the first Chief Technology Officer of Tricon Residential (a Blackstone portfolio company), she architected the enterprise platform that helped deliver 400% revenue growth, enabled its NYSE IPO, and underpinned the $3.5 billion take-private by Blackstone. In 2025, Fitch awarded Tricon a rare 5% operational uplift on a $1.57 billion securitization, directly crediting the technology platform she built. Her innovations include the SFR industry’s first unified resident experience app, predictive and variable-term pricing, a data-driven field-service model that boosted technician efficiency, and Tricon’s first full-scale enterprise data warehouse, robust BI analytics, and AI/ML capability. She also was pivotal in the $6 billion integration of Home Partners of America, digitally unifying 28,000 homes within Blackstone’s SFR portfolio.

An experienced board director, Reshma has served on many boards including the board of Healthcare Trust of America (NYSE: HTA)—where she played a key role in its $18 billion merger with Healthcare Realty Trust (NYSE: HR)—and on the board of Hoag Hospital, where she chairs the Real Estate Committee overseeing nearly 1 million sq. ft. of healthcare assets in Orange County, CA.
