Austin got into vacation rentals in 2020 and hasn't looked back. He founded Blue Door Retreats, scaled it, and merged it into Lazy H Retreats — where he now serves as Co-Owner and CEO. A boutique management company operating across Texas Hill Country, the Gulf Coast, Lazy H manages properties in the same markets where Austin personally invests.

Over the last several years, Austin has become a go-to voice in the vacation rental management space. He co-hosts The Cohost Bros podcast with Matt Codd, speaks at industry events, and appears regularly on podcasts and panels because operators want a perspective that comes from someone still actively in it — not someone advising from the sidelines.
