GunnSmith Holdings is a specialty property management firm focused on maximizing the value of real estate for property owners in Coastal Volusia County through rental management, association management, and property care and maintenance.

My journey began as a server at the very first Olive Garden on I-Drive, Central Florida. From those humble beginnings I learned the value of hard work, self-sufficiency, persistence, and sales skills.

My determination and unwavering commitment to success led me to join the prestigious Pinnacle Companies in the late '90s. Never one to shy away from a challenge (even when told I'd never close more than $1 million in a month); I built a team and shattered expectations by consistently closing loans totaling $10, $12, and even $15 million monthly. During my career with the Pinnacle Companies, I held various positions, including Executive Vice President of Sales, and later, President of DynaFlow Acceptance, a transmission finance company.

I then leveraged my years of team-building and company-building experience to establish Basati - a Silver Salesforce.com Partner assisting companies of all sizes with their Salesforce needs. In 2017, opportunities to sell Basati arose, leading me to align with the innovative executive team at Simplus and work alongside them as Manager, Financial Services vertical.

In March of 2020, prompted by a heartfelt request from my adult children to move back to Florida, I embarked on a weekend getaway that turned into a permanent homecoming thanks to the pandemic. The opportunity arose to purchase Oceania Beach Club Rentals, a vacation rental management company. I soon realized the immense opportunity for change in the VR space and made the leap back to self-employment. Combining a passion for guest experiences and utilization of technology, we rebranded as GetAway Rentals and focused on enhancing the guest, homeowner, and team experiences. This focus has allowed GetAway to provide more revenue to owners and offer memorable moments for vacationers.

I soon realized that some of the same opportunities existed in community association management and the property care space. In order to offer a better choice to homeowners and associations, I - together with my wife - formed GunnSmith Holdings. By finding the most experienced and dedicated leaders, providing them with support and best-in-class technology, and getting out of their way, we are quickly building businesses in these industries.
