Troy is a Traverse City native and Michigan State University alumnus (BS in Hospitality Business, 2008), who returned home in 2012 following a stint operating a Kilwins Chocolate Shoppe in Williamsburg, VA. Drawing on his upbringing in a family‑run Kilwins franchise for over 30 years, Troy has built a diversified hospitality portfolio that includes marketing ventures such as TC Brew Bus, Paddle for Pints, Daily Blend, and Kayak, Bike & Brew, along with a high-performing short‑term rental business, Elevated Homes & Hospitality.

Since 2019, Elevated Homes & Hospitality (formerly Elevated Property Management) has rapidly expanded, scaling from just 3 to over 100 short‑term rental units through data‑driven revenue management, in‑house operations, full commercial in-house laundry facility, and a strong team-oriented culture. Troy continues to champion guest experience, operational excellence, and community tourism in Northern Michigan.
