Dr. Mohammed Aljoufie is a Professor of Transportation Planning at King Abdulaziz University and a Mobility Advisor at Jeddah Governorate Development Authority since January 2021.
Dr. Aljoufie has a PhD in Urban Transportation Planning from University of Twente, The Netherlands. His area of expertise is urban transportation planning, integrated land use/ transport dynamic interaction modelling and public transport Planning. He worked as a full and part-time lead consultant in several urban and regional strategic plans, urban planning and transportation planning projects with international leading firms. He worked also as a senior consultant with UN- Habitat in Future Saudi Cities Programme for Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA).
Dr. Aljoufie was formerly the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at King Abdulaziz University (2014-2020). He has been selected as a jury member for several international urban planning and design competitions and he has published many scientific and technical articles in highly reputable international journals relevant to his area of expertise. He is also a reviewer and an editorial member in several international journals.
