Dr. Muhammad Mustafa has joined Egis as Mobility and Planning Director for the Middle East and South Asia. Muhammad will spearhead the development of a full-fledged team that will be focused on urban mobility & planning services.

Muhammad, a holder of a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the esteemed University of Aristotle, embarked on his professional journey in Greece. He later joined IBI Group's North American division, where he has contributed for the past 25 years across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. His expansive role encompassed the formulation of diverse services such as Mobility, Urbanism, and Smart Solutions. This involved strategic planning, design, and implementation phases. Leveraging his expertise, Muhammad approaches transportation solutions with a sustainability and smart cities perspective, seamlessly integrating these aspects across all disciplines and planning stages. His overarching goal is to craft transportation solutions that foster appealing, livable, and sustainable developments.

Between 2007 and 2023, Dr. Mustafa steered IBI Group's operations in the Middle East, notably overseeing a multitude of transportation and planning endeavors spanning the Middle East and North Africa regions. These projects spanned various locations, including the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Tunis, Morocco, and Egypt.

From 1998 to 2007, Muhammad played a pivotal role in leading IBI Group's projects in Canada, concentrating on applied transportation technology, specifically transit operations and smart card systems. Prior to this, he contributed extensively to research and development initiatives driven by the European Union. This engagement, spanning from 1989 to 1998, focused on advancing smart mobility concepts across Europe.
