Nasir Al Shamsi is the Chief Transport Officer at BEEAH Group. A dedicated professional, with over 16 years of experience in government and semi-government sectors, Nasir is an expert in automobility telematics, ranging from electronic vehicle software to systems automation and sustainable transport solutions. He has also successfully launched a range of solutions to enhance the rider’s experience into becoming seamless and fully connected.
Within his current role, Nasir is responsible for managing ION, the region’s first commercial green transport company, formed as a joint venture between BEEAH and Crescent Enterprises. He has actively collaborated with the company’s senior management to implement mobility solutions through ION, deploying a unique green fleet management enterprise within the UAE, as well as launching the first autonomous shuttle on a public road and the first ultra-rapid EV charger at Yas Marina Circuit.
Joining BEEAH Group in 2012, Nasir has served in various capacities across the fleet management division, contributing extensively to BEEAH’s fleet utilisation programmes. As Head of Fleet Management, Nasir maximised fleet efficiency, and deployed the fleet management system across 800 vehicles and equipment. He introduced innovative new systems such as a Dispatch-on-Demand solution, an emissions monitoring system, and an auto generated fleet registration system, in addition to improving fleet management policies. Among Nasir’s most recent successes were the autonomous mobility projects in Masdar City and Sharjah University City. He was also responsible for ION’s first Gulf region’s ultra-fast EV charging stations installation project in Abu Dhabi, offering EV users convenience and efficiency, previously unavailable in the region before.
Prior to his career at BEEAH Group, Nasir held positions in the Sharjah Municipality, Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (du) and Sharjah Traffic Police.
Nasir holds a bachelor’s degree in business information technology from Skyline University College, Sharjah, UAE. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Sharjah Leadership Programme. He has successfully completed the Digital Transformation: LeadingPeople, Data&Technology programme from UC Berkele
