The Triplesign is a variable 3-message sign developed for traffic environments. With its extremely low power consumption, robust construction and flexible communication system – which makes it possible to operate the signs wirelessly on solar energy - it is the most sustainable variable message sign (VMS) on the market.

Just like a static traffic sign, reflective foil is used to display the message. Hence, the power consumption for showing the message is zero with a Triplesign VMS.

Application areas can vary widely. The Triplesign can be used for variable speed signs – For example outside schools, or main roads where the speed varies during different times of the day. Other applications are weather warnings like flood, slippery road etc. where the sign is activated only when a warning is needed (on/off application).

At road works, the Triplesign can help to keep road workers safe as the signs are very easy to install, exactly where they are needed (because they can be operated wirelessly). The message can be changed from the safety of the car, taking workers off the road.

The Triplesign can also be used to direct traffic, ensuring an even traffic flow and therefore avoiding a stop/start situation that will create more Co2 emissions.

Another application area is traffic re-direction at bridges, toll stations or terminals.
