Profile
Samuel is a Senior Associate in RPC's IP & Technology team. A 'soft IP' specialist, Samuel's particular focus is on trade marks. Primarily a litigator, Samuel has represented clients in the High Court, Intellectual Property Enterprise Court and Court of Appeal. He also has considerable experience acting in proceedings before the UK Intellectual Property Office, and also routinely advises clients at the pre-action stage.
Recognised as a "Key Lawyer" by Legal 500 (2024) and "Rising Star" by IP Stars (2024), Samuel regularly authors articles on intellectual property and has been published in the Entertainment Law Review, LawInSport and Lexis Nexis. Samuel also speaks on IP matters at external events – including, most recently, at the Low2NoBev show at Olympia London to discuss the rise in copycat products. Samuel is an executive committee member of IPSoc, and has recently completed the Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice at the University of Oxford.
Alongside working at RPC, Samuel is also a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Law in London – teaching intellectual property and disputes modules on the PGDL and LPC.
