WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This is a course for participants who have limited training on the Bahrain Labour Law, or those who want to be sure that their understanding of certain requirements is accurate. This is also a good refresher course for those who took a course prior to 2015-16 in light of a number of changes to the law. This is also a helpful course for newly graduated lawyers and those who have recently transferred to the region.
This Bahrain Labour Law training is designed to raise awareness on the benefits of a strong and compliant HR process and to help identify deficiencies with enumerated solutions and mechanisms to avoid unnecessary risks and liabilities.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATES
Participants must meet two criteria to be eligible for an Informa Connect Certificate of Completion:
- Successful completion of all modules of the 2-week online course
- Pass all module online assessments with a score of at least 70%
COURSE METHODOLOGY
LEARNING STYLE
This is an online course, broken into 20 short videos. Participation in this course allows you to interact with other attendees and your course instructor through an online discussion forum. Even though this is not a live session, we will try to anticipate the types of questions which commonly arise in relation to the relevant section; these questions will be answered during or at the end of the session, with aversion of the question stated expressly prior to giving the answer.
We have introduced a quiz at the end of the last video, so that you can keep score on the knowledge gained through the course. This course is designed with memorable stories and experiences interwoven with the regulations and requirements, giving a practical sense of the labour rules as applied, not only in theory.
TARGETED COMPETENCY
This course will introduce and provide for enhanced understanding of Bahrain’s labour law to increase the competency of participants in respect of:
- Knowing and correctly applying the Labour Law
- Communicating with employees regarding their rights and obligations
- Conducting appropriate assessments and performance enhancement programs
- Ensuring discipline in handled in a lawful manner
- Managing the end of employment relationships
- Providing your lawyer with necessary information and documents to minimize or avoid termination liability
