Events By Classic Group (EBCG), a premier event management and catering company located in the heart of Monterey, California. Our journey is one of passion, love, and the pursuit of a dream that has grown into something truly extraordinary.
The origins of EBCG date back to 2001 when newlyweds Debbie and Dean Young, united by their love for each other and their shared passion for cooking, decided to turn their culinary talents into a business. With a deep commitment to making people happy through exceptional food and service, they established Classic Catering. What started as a small, family-run business quickly gained a reputation for delivering unforgettable events, thanks to Debbie and Dean’s dedication to quality and personal touch.
In 2006, with the support of Debbie's father and stepmother, Jim and Cheryl Cox, Debbie and Dean took a bold step forward by acquiring their first venue. This marked the birth of Events By Classic Group and the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s history. The four founders, driven by a shared vision and a people-focused philosophy, have been the backbone of EBCG’s success, nurturing the company from its humble beginnings into a thriving enterprise.
Today, EBCG is proud to have a team of 150 talented professionals who each play a vital role in turning our clients' visions into reality. Our company culture is built on collaboration and a genuine passion for what we do. Whether it’s an elegant wedding or a corporate gathering, our team is dedicated to elevating event experiences.
Weddings are at the core of our expertise, making up a significant portion of our business. However, our reach extends far beyond weddings. We are also a trusted partner for numerous corporate events, particularly due to our strategic location within walking distance of the Monterey Conference Center and major conference hotels. This prime location allows us to serve as a central hub for business gatherings, product launches, and more.

The Perry House is a historic Victorian-style home with stunning views of Monterey Bay Harbor. Featuring a charming garden, a fire pit, and a wood-fired pizza oven, it's an ideal location for weddings, corporate events, and intimate gatherings.
The Barns at Cooper Molera boasts a rich history dating back to the early 1800s. Nestled among century-old oak trees, this downtown Monterey venue provides a unique setting for events, from automotive product launches to exceptional weddings.
The Monterey Beach Station, our latest addition, offers a picturesque beachfront setting. Once part of the Pacific Coast Railroad, this venue is perfect for waterfront weddings, beach parties, and events that celebrate California’s breathtaking coast.
