Jamil Qureshi is one of the foremost practitioners of performance-enhancing psychology and an expert in high-performing teams. His knowledge of optimising human potential comes from experience of working with some of the world’s top individuals and teams in sport and business.
Appointed by Captain Ian Woosnam as the first official team psychologist to work with the European Ryder Cup team, Jamil helped the players work together and perform under pressure. They went on to win by a recordequalling margin. He later worked with over twenty of the world’s top players including Colin Montgomerie, Darren Clarke, Paul Casey, Sergio Garcia, and former world number one Lee Westwood.
Established as one of the leading and most influential figures in British sports coaching, Jamil went on to work with three Premier League clubs, F1 teams, and the 2009 Ashes-winning England cricket team. He’s worked with a host of top players in a range of sports, and helped six get to world number one rankings in their fields.
Away from sport Jamil has worked with some of the world’s biggest and most complex organisations to deliver change, leadership, and performance programmes. As well as working with military and medical teams, he’s led programmes all over the world for Coca Cola, Hewlett Packard, Lloyds Banking Group, Emirates Airlines, and Serco. He is also one of only a handful of external psychologists to have worked with NASA astronauts.
The author of the acclaimed The Mind Coach, Jamil is a recognised leader in all aspects of the psychology of performance and leadership, leadership attitudes, improving people, cultural change, and team performance.
