Sylvia Fernandes – Learning Specialist, Engagement and Employee Experience expert, Cancer Survivor, Resilience and Survival Skills Coach, EQ and EI certified coach, People Engagement and Organization change Lead. She is an absolute selfie addict and social media buff and takes great pride in her love for self and living the now to the fullest.

Sylvia had been a part of the Landmark Group for the last 8 years in various roles. She started her journey in India with 3 retail giants, Shoppers Stop, Hypercity and Trent Limited with experience in Learning and Development and moving into HR and Employee Experience projects.

In 2017 she led the Landmark Happiness Movement for the Landmark Group across the GCC, Egypt and India pioneering the Happiness Day at the group as a day every month to celebrate and unite people across the Group from Retail, Offices and Warehouses. The Yellow T-shirt and now Blue T-shirt became a symbol of the Groups People Engagement activity and went on to win many awards internationally and the Brandon Hall in 2021.

Her passion lies in bringing happiness, wellbeing and personal development at the core of everything to make employee experience meaningful. She now Heads Learning and Development for Centrepoint – the One stop destination and largest chain of Retail stores. She believes in Happiness and connection and builds innovative ways to ensure the people stay happy and engaged.

She is from India from both cities that bring a smile and joy to her life, Mumbai and Goa, and has 2 brothers and a happy dad and mom who gives her wings to fly. Her inspiration is Mother Theresa and Nelson Mandela and in business Ratan Tata and Micky Jagtiani.
