Arif Haq is the Global General Counsel of FUJIFILM Biotechnologies and a member of the Executive Leadership team. In this role, he leads an international team comprised of lawyers and legal professionals in Denmark, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

An accomplished legal executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and contract development and manufacturing organization sectors, Arif aligns legal strategy with business priorities to support growth, strengthen operations, and manage risk. He is recognized for serving as a trusted business partner, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and building high-performing legal and compliance teams grounded in integrity and sound judgment.

Previously, Arif served as Head of Legal and Compliance for India, the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (IMETA) at Boehringer Ingelheim. Prior to that, Arif held senior counsel positions at Lonza and Arch Chemicals.

Arif holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Cornell University, a Juris Doctor with honors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia.
