Hajra Khan is an accomplished legal executive with 15 years of experience advising organizations across the biopharmaceutical, research, and corporate sectors. She currently serves as Assistant General Counsel supporting the Gates Medical Research Institute, where she advises on complex transactions, strategic collaborations and alliances, pharmaceutical licensing, data privacy, clinical development, and global partnerships.

Prior to joining the Gates Medical Research Institute, Hajra held legal roles at Proteostasis Therapeutics, Velcro Group Corporation, and GTC Law Group, where her work spanned biopharmaceutical development, commercial transactions, intellectual property, corporate governance, and strategic partnerships. Earlier in her career, she worked in finance and technology at Fidelity Investments and Investors Bank & Trust, giving her a multidisciplinary perspective that bridges law, business, finance, and technology.

Hajra earned her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Economics, magna cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College. Her continuing education includes a Mini MBA for In-House Counsel from Boston University and postgraduate study in Clinical Pharmacology, Drug Development, and Regulation at the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development.
