LucyRx and Personify Health partner on GLP-1

PBM and health platform provider join to offer integrated medication and weight loss care management for employers.

LucyRx, an independent pharmacy benefits manager, and personalized health platform company Personify Health, have partnered to offer employers GLP-1 medications and weight care programs for their employees. LucyRx and Personify Health will combine their pharmacy benefit strategy with personalized support, members will have the option to explore this program, whether using weight management medications or not.

Early results from an 11,000-employee implementation have shown promise. Participants lost an average of 22 pounds in 12 weeks, achieving 40% improvement in medication adherence, which averages to $3.2 million in healthcare savings.

"Employers have an incredible opportunity to reduce long-term health care costs through successful weight management programs like ours," said David Blair, CEO of LucyRx.

Jeffrey Jacques, MD, chief medical officer at Personify Health, said: "There is growing need for chronic condition support and increasing expectations for employer-sponsored GLP-1 benefits have driven employers to rethink their approach." This is reflected in market projections that GLP-1 medications, will reach 30 million users—approximately 9% of the U.S. population—by 2030.

The integrated solution offers members individualized care plans, GLP-1-trained coaches, and comprehensive education resources.
